Weigh In / Week ONE back on plan

Yesterday was weigh in from our first week.
Me - Lost 5 pounds
Brent - Lost 9 pounds

BOOYA for my man!

I am hoping to have another good loss this week.

However, today I am doing a 24 hour fast.  I am excited to participate in a special "40 day fast" with my church sisters where we are praying for some specific things and each of us gets to sign up for one of the 40 days.  How cool is that?  The only problem is this will probably kick me out of fat burning.  Then it will take 3-4 days to get back on.  So, I may just maintain for this week but I'm still hoping!  Something about fasting with a purpose brings the Spirit into my life, though, which I really need and appreciate.

It's going to be a crazy busy week full of some great opportunities.

I did already buy some candy for Halloween, but I made sure it was NONE of the stuff I like very much.  NO chocolate.  So I haven't even been thinking about it.

Who's with me for NO CANDY this Halloween?

haha. I'm with you on the "no candy" for halloween. Of course, I don't indulge in halloween. That whole witches, devil, evil is fun for one day thing, kind of clashes with my faith.

I like the way your church is doing their fast, thp. I may pass it on to our women's group here. A wonderful way to join together and bond while doing a spiritual work.

Funny, I decided just this morning that I was going to fast one day before the election. I haven't decided which day, tho.

Great job Margene! I let some summer pounds creep back on too, so we're in the same boat there. Thanks for the motivation! I haven't been to Scheels yet but maybe tomorrow. :)

Congratulations on the loss! I bought lots and lots of candy several days ago because our church does a HUGE fall fest and have lots and lots of children participate from all over the area. I bought the candy and put it in the laundry room where it has sat untouched. I don't even think about it. Of course, it isn't chocolate either!

What a cool idea for a 40 day fast! I should suggest that to some of my friends, too! Awesome.

I need to try and do no candy for Halloween, too. It's so hard having 5 little kids! Ages 2-11. They will ALL be trick or treating. Twice. I'm thinking I should take all their candy from the trunk-or-treat on Tuesday, and use it to pass out to trick or treaters on Wednesday. LOL

Looks like things are going great! Congrats on the weight loss!

I have always bought Halloween candy in the past even though it has been YEARS since we had any trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood. I was just fooling myself because I always ended up eating the candy. And I ALWAYS chose my favorites! Not this year! I'm taking the NO CANDY pledge!

Congrats on your weight loss! Congrats to Brent too! You guys are an awesome power couple!
